  • Holy Cross Church (227)
    The first Catholic church west of the Alleghenies, Holy Cross Church was built here in Marion County, Kentucky in 1792. The current church was built in 1823. An area of firsts, Marion County has been called the "Kentucky-Catholic Holy Land."
  • Lebanon National Cemetery (219)
    Established in 1863, this is the final resting place for many honorably discharged veterans of the Civil War, both Union and Confederate.
  • Loretto Motherhouse (203)
    The first religious community of women in the US, established by native American Roman Catholic Nuns in 1812. The Sisters of Loretto still call this landmark and retreat in Loretto, Kentucky home.
