Bill
and Nita Parman have owned this 120-year-old agency since 1970. Both have been
residents of Lebanon since 1956.
Bill has always been active in the Lebanon community. He served on the committee that initiated the first Ham Days Festival and remained involved with the festival for the following 20 years. He has served as President of the Kiwanis and the Lebanon-Marion County Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Board of Directors for St. Catherine College and Campbellsville University. Currently, Bill serves as Chairman of Trustees for Lebanon Baptist Church.
Bill holds licenses as an insurance agent, a real estate broker and as an auctioneer. He attended Sue Bennett College and graduated from Bryant Stratton Business College, where he met his wife, Nita.
Nita Parman graduated from Christian College and Bryant Stratton Business College. She later joined Bill in the family business in 1993 and continues to serve as the office manager and bookkeeper.
Bill and Nita have a son, Monty, and three grandchildren.
Monty Parman:
Monty,
son of Bill and Nita Parman, has been with The May and Parman Agency full-time
since 1978 following two years of part-time experience with the Agency while
still in school. He was born in Lebanon, KY in 1957, Monty graduated from Marion
County High School and received an Associate Degree in Insurance and Real Estate
from Eastern Kentucky University in 1978.
Monty received his Real Estate Sales Associate license in 1977, his Property and Casualty Insurance license in 1978, and his Real Estate Brokers license in 1979. After serving as a licensed Apprentice Auctioneer, Monty also earned his Auctioneers license in 1979.
Monty has a long history of community and civic service in the Lebanon area. He is past president of the Lebanon Kiwanis Club and the Lebanon Lions Club. He served as the Volunteer Youth Director at Lebanon Baptist Church for five years and also served as Chair of Personnel for the church. Monty has been involved with Little League since 1994 and has been a coach and has served on the Little League Board of Directors. He also served for four years as President of the Marion County High School Girls Softball Team Booster Club.
Monty has served as either the Chair or Co-Chair of the Marion County Ham Days Parade for 25 years. Currently, Monty serves as Chair of Trustees at Lebanon United Methodist Church. Additionally, Monty has helped to coordinate hundreds of charity auctions for benefits, schools, churches and community events and organizations over the last 27 years.
Monty married his wife Tammy in 1983 and they have three children – Haley, Clint and Alex.
Pat Hyserman:
Pat Hyserman has been with M&P since 1998. She is a licensed insurance
agent and services personal property and casualty insurance policies for homes, autos, farms and commercial clients.
Pat is a Lebanon native, born at Mary Immaculate Hospital (now Spring
View Hospital). She graduated from Lebanon High school. After school,
she moved to Indiana and NY before returning in 1994 to be with family
and to enjoy the friendly “small town” atmosphere of Lebanon.
Two of Pat's hobbies are antiques and gardening.
Chuck Dye:
Chuck Dye has been a member of the May and Parman team since 1999. He is a Lebanon native, born here in 1967, and is a graduate of Marion County High School. After school, Chuck lived in Lexington for a few years before returning home to Lebanon to marry his wife Lori (Morgeson) and begin work with May and Parman. Chuck is a licensed real estate agent.
Chuck is an assistant coach for Little League Baseball and has served as a Marion County Youth Soccer Coach. Chuck has been a member of the Lebanon-Marion County Kiwanis and spends most of his weekends showing houses, helping conduct May and Parman auctions, and taking his boys, Evan and Noah, to their ballgames.
Chuck plans to stay in Lebanon. He says he's a "small town boy" and likes the fact that he knows someone no matter where he is in and around Lebanon.
Monica McCarty:
Monica McCarty has been with the May and Parman Agency since 2003. A Lebanon native, she was born at Springview Hospital. She graduated from Marion County High School in 1995. She was a dental assistant, a sales associate and then was team leader and group leader with a local industry before joining the May and Parman team.
Monica is a customer service representative and helps our clients with their insurance needs, is responsible for documenting the auction process, and updates our website.
Monica attends Woodlawn Baptist Church with her family which includes son Jared and daughter Brianna..
